Our day started with breakfast, packing lunches, and a trip to World Vision. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization, that strives to help wipe out poverty and hunger world wide. World Vision is able to accomplish this through non-profit donations, and educating families with life skills that help generation after generation continue to be self sufficient communities. The group was asked to help sort and box clothing that will be shipped world wide to help the less fortunate have much needed clothing and supplies. The work was tough and the warehouse we were working in was hot however the group pitched in and worked like mad. Not only did they work hard they also seemed to have a smile on their faces the entire time, listening to music and laughing a lot. We ate lunch at World Vision and off to the Denver Asian Market area. The goal of the next activity was to learn something about the Asian culture and try new foods on a limited budget. We saw some really scary foods and some people even tried those scary foods, WOW.
After. The Asian Market we went back to CMS for some rest another devotional. The devotional focused on Ephesians,Galatians, and the nine Fruits of the Spirit. This group of young people are pretty amazing regarding some of their answers to questions. This group comes up with some pretty profound answers. When we finished with devotional time, it was off to the Senior Support Services. We helped serve meals to homeless and under priviledged seniors. This was an incredibly rewarding place to visit and work. The men eating here were so appreciative and kind. They were also very thankful, which is amazing given their circumstances. I can't tell you how many times we heard, thank you, and God bless you. They loved having the young folks there and visiting with them. It was such a cool place that almost everyone in the goup purchased a tee shirt to support this mission work and to help them be the light of Christ in the World.
Dinner was Erawan Thai restaurant, where we met the owner Authur who was able to visit with us and the food was great. After Dinner it was off to Licks Ice Cream, a local Ice Cream shop with lots of neat flavors and amazing taste, then off to bed.
What a bust day. More tommorw, same time, same Bat channel.
